Are they the same make?If so there should be a button on the remote to switch between video and freeview,it may be marked up as dvb-which is freeview.Or is freeview turning on your dvd/vcr when you turn that on because some equipment can be activated that way turning on an external device.your dvd/vcr could may as well have been accidentally reset in its room move,you can de-activate the vcr from coming on when freeview is turned on,you will have to go into the vcr menu/settings.hope this gives you an idea.
