Can anyone help translate a few Cantonese to English medical terms for me?
yeet hei/ yit hei – took me a while to get that – means fever or unhealthy due to the nature of the food leurng/lang – cold i.e. chilly tso – it’s a very strong taste in things like beef and lamb (sometimes seafood if you don’t use ginger or boil it properly) and i can’t really think on a time when they used it in a medical context sup – it means wet and i can’t really think on a time when they used it in a medical context. This would include things that comes with soup I guess. They don’t catergorise food in such a way. It’s more about a description of food. I think they catergorise food using headings like vegetables, meat, alternative medicine, etc.
