I have Crohns and I am sorry to hear that you have been on prednisone for so long. I suggest trying Enticort. It is a steroid but doesn’t have near the side effects of prednisone. After being on prednisone for that long, it will take some time to taper off safely but I highly recommend that you do. I am 31 years old and have the bones of a 76 year old woman because of prednisone.
