Can anyone help me with advice on a good piece of multitrack recording software for guitar?
I’m not familiar with Propellerhead but, if you want to record more than one track and mix them together and make music that sounds like a whole band, I also researched every kind of recording software I could find and for my purposes, I needed to be able to produce broadcast quality music that could sell on Amazon, or iTunes, or CD Baby, or Tunecore, and even get radio stations to play for me. One of the problems you run into when you are trying to do this is that you discover that your computer’s sound card is just not adequate for recording music. Therefore, you need to replace the sound card. Or, you can go out and find a good music quality audio/midi USB interface for your computer. Then, I discovered Pro Tool.
