Can anyone give me some popular romantic music?
This is a difficult one. For a start, many people on here talk about songs when refering to music which is not sung. If the human voice is not included it definitely is not a song. And, often, when the human voice is included it is not a song. Verdi’s Requiem is sung but it most certainly is not a song! However, what you seek may well fall, roughly, into the description ‘song’. You say it is Italian classical which makes me suspect it may be an aria from an Italian operal. And if it was used in a film … forgive me the snobbish sarcasm … especially an American film … we are probably looking at the music of Puccini. It is difficult for me to go on because Puccinin …. though great favourite of mine … was very famous and very prolific. Try Madam Butterfly. That’s a soppy old tear jerker. The 19th century equivalent of Coronation Street in the UK and God knows what in the US!
