Can anyone give me some anger management tips?
I went through anger management when I separated from my now ex-husband. I noticed that I was starting to take my temper out on my son, so I started the AM program at my local mental health center. One of the best pieces of advice they gave me was to learn to let go of the little things before they pile up into a big-time fit of anger. Whenever something little happens, even if it just mildly annoys me, I will still take a few deep breaths and try to let it go. Another thing they recommended was imagining a place where you feel completely at peace and take a few minutes each day (several times a day if necessary) and picture yourself there. Sometimes I only do this for 30-60 seconds at a time and breathe while I am picturing this and it is enough to lower my stress level enough that I can face whatever is getting to me. good luck!
