Yea, Risk can be confusing. In simple terms, there is the pre-game. Pre-game is when you take turns setting up each of your army men in a country (opponent cannot take same country as u, and amount of soldiers depends on how many people are playing). After all this is set up, then the game starts. In the game, you can move your men to attack countries that are connected. The amount of dice you roll is equivalent to the amount of people attacking/defending (if you have more than 3 people than you just roll 3 dice). The attacker rolls the red dice, defender rolls white. You compare each dice INDIVIDUALLY and the highest die wins. Then you take off pieces accordingly. You can move soldiers to connecting countries as much as you want, as long as every single country is occupied. At the end of each turn, you get reinforcements according to how many CONTINENTS (not countries) you control (this should be on the board itself).
