Can anyone give me any repair a CasioTone MT-100 musical instrument (synthesizer)?

Tagged As: Synthesizer Repair Question: I was recently given a CasioTone MT-100 musical instrument (synthesizer). The previous owner inadvertently used a 12vdc vs. a 7.5vdc wall outlet power adapter and blew the instrument out. A preliminary look reveals two overheated resistors in the input power circuit. The zener diodes and assoc. components appeared to check good. I really would like to get the thing repaired…… Can anyone give me any repair hints? What would be a good source for a schematic? Answer: They must think those voltages are just friendly suggestions. Replace the resistors. Check all semiconductors for shorts. There may be tiny fuses or IC protectors as well that may have blown. Hopefully, the adapter was not powerful enough to blow anything beyond the power supply. If the resistors are unreadable, it may be possible to estimate their value by providing the schematic of the circuitry in their vicinity.
