Can anyone give me any leads about thrombophlebitis in newborns or preemies?

I am doing a paper on thrombophlebitis and have the general information, but would like to know about children with thrombophlebitis. A friend of mine had a baby premature and he was born with it. They did a blood transfusion and that’s all I know. Since then, he has had 4 major surgeries and been scheduled for more. He was born this month.
