Can anyone give me a quick tutorial for walking (and looking good) in high heels?
Looking good: make sure your heels match your outfit. Nothing looks trashier than a pair of heels that are out of place to the rest of the outfit (think Peg Bundy here). Walking: First: Place one foot directly in front of the other. Because of the small heel point, you don’t want any sideways motions in your feet, which you will have if they aren’t in a straight line. Second: Keep your weight balanced between the heel and toes. You don’t want to keep all of your weight on your toes, because your feet will hurt. The angle of the shoe already places more of your weight on your toes, so you want to shift as much weich as you reasonably can back to your heels. This sounds a bit backwards to some folks, who think that it is hard to balance on that little point, but remember you’re not putting ALL of your
