Can anyone give me a good routine for a housekeeper?
As a former housekeeper, I can tell you that the two to three hours is plenty unless she has to do something unusual. She needs to spend more time working and less talking, since that’s what you’re paying her to do. I didn’t iron when I was a housekeeper: None of my clients had things that needed it. But I did this: Take out the garbage Change the beds and start laundry Clean the kitchen, including taking the eyes out of the stove to clean Clean the bathrooms Dust (I used a slightly damp cloth) Vacuum Mop the floors Somewhere in the middle of that I would get the laundry to the dryer, and after the clothes were dry and put away I would clean the lint trap.
