– Anyone can wear braids. Any race, nationality, hair type and any sex – *CAN* wear braids. Societies dictate what is acceptable in our individual communities. If your surrounding environment (whether it is your home or work) tolerates change, creativity and versatility, braids are definitely for you. If you are afraid to be yourself, or you think: “people will talk”, then you should begin with a style you are more comfortable with. Do not feel you have to explain your choice to anyone who asks about your choice of hairstyle.
