Can anyone explain this qualification – MSc IMI (Physical Systems)?

The letters after their name seem to be 2 separate parts, the first part is MSc – meaning they have achieved a Masters degree in a scientific discipline. I have a masters degree but think it is very pretentious to put the initials after your name. The second part IMI appears that they are a member of the Institute of the Motor Industry which appears to be a trade body. If you google msc imi (physical systems) you come up with quite alot of results for some bloke who is using the same initials and appears to be suing nearly everybody about some sept 11 conspiracy! I’d love to know if its the same person you are referring to. ADDITIONAL INFO: From what I can establish from the IMI, pretty much anyone who works in the motor trade can become a member so it is not a qualification. If the MSc was in Physical systems, I can’t find any website which mentions it.
