Can anybody think of one single thing that this war Iraq has done to benefit the USA?
Unfortunately, we in can not deny that warfare is much more dangerios and unpredictable than we can handle at this time. The United States Army Combat units are broken. The moral is rotten, and many of its soldiers are in shock from being around and witnessing so much death and destruction. The machinery is worn and most of the Humvee will have to be junked. The whole army has to be retrained for guerrilla warfare. the support and attack equipment for close quarter ground support action has to be redesigned, better armor, better electronic gear and improved coordination with ground troops. The Army needs a troop carrier, armored fighting vehicle that can stand and fight, maneuver and retreat quickly and be armored much better for todays weapons. The days of fighting enemy tanks seem to be over. The tank has disadvantages in urban and guerrilla fighting. It looks like close quarter rocketry is the way to go. Also, infantry has to be equiped with sensors that can warn the units and troop
