try your local college, as there is a new part of the SIA licence coming into place that will require you to do additional training after your licence has expired and the government are issuing grants to local colleges so although it won’t affect you now it might be a good idea to use them as it’ll be a limited number of places so get yourself known and make a good impression, also have you thought about doing close protection instead as this licence covers you for all areas of SIA licences, i know it is costly but it could bring in more work for you. always make sure you work for a firm that will insure you if you get injured or injure a punter, also the department of work and pensions (DWP) is cracking down on door staff lately so make sure you aren’t claiming benefits and that you work for a company on the books not cash in hand, finally being diplomatic is the key to a good doorman, good luck!
