For 32″ or 27″ get LCD, you won’t easily find any plasma sets at 32″ size anyway. You asked for best brand. That is a bit subjective because everyone has their favourites. It is safe to say that a Best Brand will be one from – Bang &Olufsen , Lowe, Sony, Panasonic, Philips, LG; and not-so-good will include Goodmans. Ones to avoid are pretty well anything not listed above and don’t touch supermarket ‘own brands’ with a bargepole. The cheap tv sets have all sorts of issues that there isn’t space to list here. One of which is reliability. (“buy cheap, buy twice” is a good motto). These days I would seriously consider the Panasonic TH-42PZ81B television set. This has a built in Freesat HD receiver so you don’t have to pay for the Sky Hd service. At 42″ it may be too big for you but you won’t regret buying it.
