Novena Varsity Takes Off With 200 Students The first private university in Delta State, Novena University, Amai, has taken off with about 200 students. The Vice Chancellor, Professor W.O. Olu-Aderounmu announced that the institution would start with 26 courses. Aderounmu informed that full academic activities kicked off January 4 with seasoned professors and other categories of academic staff that were poised to making the institution the best in the nation and the continent. He explained that the first intake of 200 students was spread across the 26 courses, the institution was currently offering. According to him, the institution has state of the art infrastructures like classrooms, hostel facilities that could accommodate about 5,000 students. He listed other facilities in the school to include constant water supply, uninterrupted electricity supply guaranteed by four standby 250 KVA generating sets.
