The Royal tsar fell in 1917 to be replaced by a capitalist provisional government. The provisional Government were then ousted by Lenin and the Bolsheviks in Oct 1917. Lenin followed the Marx theory of communism when it suited him, choosing to follow a mishmash of his own ideals and Marx ideas. This gave rise to Marxism-Leninism.
