Can anybody explain what the poem “caged bird” is clearly about ? :)?
Actually it’s called “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings”. First of all poetry as in music has a meaning owned by the listener. Most musicians and poets will tell you that it honors them to have there work interpreted to fit someone Else’s life. Point in case the song “3AM” by Rob Thomas. I would bet your idea about what it means has nothing to do with the real meaning. Now, I know why Maya Angelou wrote it, I read it did you? Do you know who she is? I don’t like doing other peoples homework but if you edit your question with some ideas and thoughts about the poem and your interpretation then I can work with you and be glad to.
