Can any wireless router work for the nintendo wi-fi connection?
You can use any wireless router, but what matters is what encryption you use when you set up the wireless router. If you have a DS and wish to play online, your wireless router’s encryption will have to be WEP and nothing else. If you have a Wii, then the wireless router’s encryption will have to be WEP or WPA (but not WPA2). Or no encryption/security at all but I would strongly advise you against that. Most modern routers support all of those so it’s just up to you to set up your router right when you get it.
