Can any tattoo artist or permanent cosmetics professional perform this procedure?
We are hearing a lot lately that “a tattoo is a tattoo,” and a tattoo artist is a tattoo artist, but this is not the case. Let’s put this into perspective; that’s like saying a doctor is a doctor. Would you have your dentist perform a hair transplant? Some unskilled tattoo “artists” operate illegally and are unable to do a traditional tattoo correctly and they are called “scratchers.” While perhaps any tattoo artist/permanent cosmetics salon may perform a similar “look,” they are unable to achieve the actual fine follicle detail that ACHM is able to replicate. They do not have access to our custom-made equipment/supplies and the ACHM detail cannot be duplicated with the equipment and supplies commercially available to them. This is a question we are getting quite often now, and we are very concerned about the outcomes we are seeing from imitators.
