Can any report be brought into ValetMiner?

0

Yes. Unique facilities, called PrepP, are packaged with ValetMiner to enable straightforward selection and download of authorized iSeries spooled files. In addition, ValetMiner can read any report downloaded from a mainframe, mini, or PC. Just feed ValetMiner the report file. These files are commonly known as print files or spool files, but are also referred to as PRN files, TXT files, formatted ASCII files and RPT files. If your software runs in Windows and can print to the Generic Text print driver, then it can print to a text file and ValetMiner can read that text file. If your software runs in DOS and has a print to screen option you can put ” >filename.txt” as part of the command line, which will cause what is displayed on the screen to be saved to a new text file. ValetMiner can then read this new text file.
