Bleach and water will provide momentary clearing. That also removes the discolouration. Air drying, and ultra-violet light resists regrowth. But the water in the bleach and water treatment also provides water to restart growth if it is not fully removed. A small addition to the water of copper sulphate can provide for a residual protection. It is also slightly corrosive, so most people use it only where its corrosive action can be tolerated. An air conditioner drying the air in the building, (drying it until makes our nose twitch) will allow materials like wood to dry out completely. Getting the materials completely dry, and soon, is essential. One can use a dehumidifier instead of an air conditioner. It will dry with less energy usage. It can take months to get all the materials fully dry.
