Can any one explain the following Ultra sound report of gall bladder?

0

From the limited data of the ultrasound report, It tells us that there is a stone or cholecystolithiasis in the gallbladder. However, the gallbladder is not inflammed, and there is no obstruction of the C.B.D. or common bile duct. It would be nice to know the age of the patient, or if the patient has right upper abdominal pain, or if the patient has fever and the size of the stone. If the patient is asymptomatic, he has a 10 to 15% chance of developing cholecystitis or inflammation of the gallbladder after 5 to 10 years. And a stone more than 2 cm in size warrants surgical intervention since it is associated with development of cancer of the gallbladder.
