Answer – We do not plan on providing engine data. Members of the AHS Propulsion Committee, and/or contacts from engine manufacturers, may be able to provide basic turboshaft engine trend data. As with all of your data assumptions, you should provide reference and/or substantiation for your source. The performance of your engine(s) is not as critical as how you address the aircraft concept and operational problem. [See also answer to question 2 of 28 Oct 2004 Q&A.] b. Is there a requirement and any specifics on how the vehicle is loaded and where this must take place? Some of our concerns are whether the FCS vehicles will be, for example, on exactly the same L-class ship where the rotorcraft is maintained and how we can include load and unload time into the primary measure of performance. It is our assumption that teams choosing to internally load the FCS will assume an unreasonable load and unload time in their evaluation.
