Can any IBMer volunteer?
All full-time and part-time IBM employees, employees of wholly owned subsidiary companies of IBM, supplemental employees, and IBM retirees are encouraged to volunteer. Contractors and vendors are permitted to access the On Demand Community site and browse it. At the present time, however, they are not permitted to register on the site nor to download materials for use in volunteering (with the exception of certain European countries, due to their local laws). Supplemental employees may register with On Demand Community and use its resources, but they may not apply for or receive a Community Grant.
