Can any Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC)/IRB approve the clinical trial in Australia?

0

Only ethics committees that are constituted and operating in accordance with the National Health and Medical Research Council’s (NHMRC) National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Research Involving Humans can approve a clinical trial. Additionally the trial needs approval from the ethics committee with jurisdiction at that site (hospital, clinic etc).
