Can any human being completely follow the principle… “Take care of today; Tomorrow will take care of itself”?

If you take care of today in expectation that your work today will somehow effect you tomorrow, then its possible for me. In general you would have to have a very myopic foresight. I know I recently answered a question about the difference between thinking automatically and thinking ahead, one is freeing, the other is much more mental work. I don’t think healthy human beings, with full use of consciousness, can live without goals set forth in the future for themselves, and feel entirely secure in the ‘todays’.
