Can any flower be preserved?
The age and the condition of the flowers at the time we receive them plays a vital role in how well they preserve. It is important to take precautions with your flowers until you can get them to us. Flowers that have been deprived of moisture or that have wilted may need to be replaced. Make sure your florist knows that you plan to preserve your flowers, and ask that the flowers be as fresh as possible. If some of the blooms are damaged, we can replace them for a minimal fee. Preservation will cause some color changes in your flowers with any method used. White flowers may dry a creamy color and certain red flowers dry darker. Some flowers preserve better than others; most orchids, lilies, calla lilies, roses, and other popular wedding and funeral flowers preserve very well. Due to their natural makeup, flowers such as daisies and chrysanthemums need to be of the highest quality to be successfully preserved.
