Can any construction work of a wind turbine project proceed prior to obtaining a Certificate of Approval?
Under Section 9 of the EPA, it is required to obtain an approval before construction, alteration, extension or replacement of any equipment or structure that may emit, or from which may be emitted, a contaminant into the natural environment. If the project is unchanged as reviewed at the environmental screening process, then the application for a Certificate of Approval, under section 9 of the EPA, will be processed based on this ministrys prior technical review.
