Can another telephone or device be used in parallel with the BT socket when using a Lifeline?

A. The Lifeline unit must have line priority if they are perform emergency calls. They therefore must not be in parallel with any other device. Alternatively a Safe Sockets can be used on all other extension telephones but they should not be used on the extension the Lifeline is plugged into.
