Can an ST1/ST2 trainee record a PBA if the assessment is not available as a DOPS?
If an assessment is available as a PBA but not as a DOPS, ST1 and ST2 trainees can record their assessment (if available) as a PBA, even though PBA’s are designed for ST3 trainees and above in mind. PBA assessments are for ST3 trainees upwards as they are assessed against CCT standards however, ST1 and ST2 trainees can use the PBA form to record part/whole procedures and use the free text boxes to record more specific details about their performance.
