Can an Orthodox Christian participate in the services of other Churches?

If so, to what degree? Any canonical prohibitions against attending non-Orthodox services have more to do with pastoral concern about attempts by other groups to try to proselytize Orthodox who are not grounded in their own Faith. Orthodox Christians can usually visit other religious services from time to time as part of general religious education or to attend funerals, weddings, etc., of people of other religions without any difficulty. There is not a problem as long as there is nothing expressed that is seriously hostile to the beliefs of Jesus and the Apostles. At the same time, one has to be careful to know that attendance may imply condoning and endorsing non-Christian morals and perspectives (e.g. attending a “gay marriage” or churches that ridicule Orthodox beliefs and/or claim Orthodox doctrines are Satanic, etc.). If people who really know us invite us into these types of environments, then either we have been unclear to others (or ourselves) about our own commitment to Chris
