Can an ordinary tele be used for computer monitor?
It can be done, but you may not want to. Most older TVs are running VGA resolution (640 pixels by 480 pixels (a pixel being a single dot on the monitor which makes up the entire picture)) these wouldn’t make for a good computer monitor, as most computer monitors run at least SVGA (800 x 600) and most run even higher than that allowing for a clearer picture. Newer TVs are typically HD, meaning that they run 720p, 1080i, or 1080p. 720p is 1280 by 720. 1080i is 1920 by 1080, but it only changes half the pixels at a time. 1080p or Full HD is 1920 by 1080. 720p and 1080p would make for good computer monitors but i don’t know about 1080i. You also need to make sure that your computer can plug into your monitor. Some newer monitors have a VGA or DVI port built in which would allow you computer to plug in at full resolution and be recognized as a monitor. Some computers have an s-video output (the black circle), and some even have an a/v output (the yellow, red, white plugs), now it’s more com
