Can an interview question be established concerning the wearing of latex gloves?
The key word here is “interview” implying the question in part of the pre-employment examination. This appears to be a fair question to obtain a history, when the examination is appropriate (see previous questions/answers). However, the question does not relieve the employer of discrimination liability an if the question is inappropriately asked as part of a pre-employment examination. The question may be view as an attempt to circumvent the employee’s rights and ADA. Note: The material from which the glove is made is what the employee reacts too.
