Do you have any other symptoms of illness? I have never personally experienced having an infected ear piercing make my lymph nodes swell, though I suppose it’s possible, especially if it’s a bad infection or if it’s been going on for awhile untreated. If this is the case, you should go see your doctor to be put on antibiotics to clear up the infection as soon as possible. Do NOT take the earring out. If you do, it could close up and seal the infection inside, which wouldn’t be good. However, if you have on poor quality earrings, it might be a good idea to change them to something better, like gold or titanium posts. If your ear hasn’t been infected long, I’d guess that maybe the lymph nodes are unrelated, but going to see your doctor about them (and mentioning the infected piercing) would still be the best thing to do, I think.
