Can an immigrant visa applicant apply for and process his/her visa here?
No, immigrant visa applicants from our consular district (i.e. West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar, Jharkand, the North Eastern States and Andamans) are processed by our American Consulate General in Mumbai since July 1992. The American Consulate General, Kolkata only processed immigrant visa applications for adoption cases.
