Can an H-1B Visa sponsored by another educational institution be used to work at the University of Miami?
An H-1B visa sponsored by a different employer cannot be used to work at the University of Miami. The University of Miami must file a change of employer petition with USCIS. The H-1B visa must be sponsored by the University of Miami and the applicant cannot be hired until the University has received the H-1B receipt notice.
