Can an erosion prone area calculation be changed?
The location and extent of a declared erosion prone area can be revised if a coastal hazard risk assessment that supports the revision is provided to DERM for consideration. The assessment must be conducted in accordance with the methodology outlined in the Draft Guideline Coastal Hazards (http://www.derm.qld.gov.au/coastalplan), using the risk assessment factors in the Draft State Planning Policy Coastal Protection.
