Can an EnBW shareholder assign his voting right to a third person?
Shareholders can generally assign their voting right by a third person. The procedure varies, depending on whether they wish to take the necessary action before or during the AGM. If a shareholder is unable to attend the AGM, he can authorise another person or the voting proxies appointed by the company in advance e.g. by way of the forms accompanying the admission ticket. He can also have his voting right exercised by a financial institution or shareholders’ association. If a shareholder leaves the AGM early, but wishes his shareholding to continue to be represented, he can authorise another person attending the AGM or one of the voting proxies appointed by the company to exercise his voting right.
