Can an EMS System or Agency add additional protocols covering areas that are not addressed by the 2009 NCCEP EMS Patient Care Treatment Protocols?
If an EMS System or Agency would like to change or add a Protocol to the existing 2009 NCCEP Patient Care Treatment Protocols, the Medical Director must contact Dr. Greg Mears, NC EMS Medical Director for approval before development of the additional protocol(s).
