Can an employer require an employee to purchase a distinctive uniform, or charge them for special cleaning of the uniform?
No, all uniforms or accessories distinctive as to style, color or material shall be furnished, without cost, to the employee by the employer. If a uniform or accessory requires special cleaning process, and cannot be easily laundered by an employee, the employer shall clean the uniform or accessory without cost to the employee.
