Can an employee refuse to have his/her personal information sent to the bargaining agent?
A5. As a member of a bargaining unit, it is in the employee’s interest to ensure that their bargaining agent has this information. The Public Service Labour Relations Board Order requires the employer to provide this information for all employees in the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada’s bargaining units. Still, employees should contact the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada to deal with any concerns.
