Yes, you can raise a grievance whilst on maternity leave because you are still employed by your employer. Don’t get confused by the other poster who states you have three months this is only for those that wish to make an application to a tribunal and as you have yet to place your grievance your not at that stage yet. Your employer should have a grievance policy which you are entitled to request and read. Word of advice if your grievance is strong and you feel that you have been left with no alternative in rectifying whatever the problem is than by raising this grievance then follow your employers procedures to the letter. Warning it can be a long drawn out process dependant on the content of your complaint and the time it could take your employer to investigate. If you feel that after raising this grievance that the company has not reached the right decision then you have the right to appeal against that decision stating your reasons why.
