Can an employee member in Saskatchewan continue to contribute to CSS while on maternity, paternity or adoption leave?

The Saskatchewan Labor Standards Act stipulates that an employee on maternity, paternity or adoption leave must be permitted to continue their participation in the employers pension plan providing the employee pay all contributions (employee & employer). All contributions must pass through the employer’s payroll system, be remitted to CSS via the employer, and appear on the T4 slip issued by the employer at the end of the year as pension contributions and “pension adjustment”.
