That would be a conflict of interest and would violate the attorney ethics rules. Our firm can only represent one party and can only give legal advice to one party. We can’t even meet with both husband and wife. If the one of you who is or who becomes the firm’s client talks about the case to us, with the other party present, there is a loss of confidentiality and the attorney-client privilege is threatened.
