Can an Appeal be avoided?
A. The Secretary of HUDs Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Relations has notified a Congressional Leader that Housing Authorities or property managers interested in using the EZ-OUT product (by name) should contact their local Fire Department and request that it review the product, and provide a written determination regarding whether or not the product is in compliance with the local fire code. With a copy of HUDs letter (we provide) and an OK from your Fire Marshal, the most obstinate inspector should be appeased.
