Can an allocation to an HEI be reduced?
No. The presumption is that HEIs will not receive less than the allocation calculated by formula. If there are concerns about a particular project within a programme the HEFCE will hold discussions with the HEI with a view to resolving the issues or exceptionally inviting the HEI to submit an alternative project. Similarly, where savings are identified, HEIs will be able to redeploy their allocation.
