Kentucky law doesn’t expressly prohibit an ALC from using the term ‘personal care’, but using the term ‘personal care home’ is strictly prohibited unless the business is licensed as a personal care home. An ALC should refrain from using the term ‘personal care’ in its marketing literature, documents and activities, so as to avoid confusing and/or misleading consumers and potentially violating Kentucky statutes/regulations.
