Can an ALC use the terminology ‘personal care’ in its marketing literature, documents and activities?
A. Kentucky law doesn’t expressly prohibit an ALC from using the term ‘personal care’, but using the term ‘personal care home’ is strictly prohibited unless the business is licensed as a personal care home. BP. An ALC should refrain from using the term ‘personal care’ in its marketing literature, documents and activities, so as to avoid confusing and/or misleading consumers and potentially violating Kentucky statutes/regulations.
