Can an AED malfunction?
The AEDs QUT has purchased are capable of conducting daily, weekly and monthly self-test to ensure ‘rescue-ready’ at all times. QUT Security will also regularly check on them to ensure they are in good working order. However, if you have noticed that • the light on the upper right corner of the AED has turned red when you pass by, or • someone suspicious is tampering with the AED, or • the AED is missing, or • there is any other abnormality with the AED, call Security at 3138 8888 so that they could investigate immediately.
